How to recognize a True friend?

Friends are defined as – a person with whom you value above others in your life, someone you have fun with, someone you trust, and someone in whom you confide. The first person you call when you have good news or want to go out for a bite to eat; and also, the first to hear your grim news.

The Bible describes a friend as one who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24 -One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Friends laugh when you laugh, cry when you cry, and uplifts you when no one else has the time. Friends exude patience, and when everyone else gives up and throws in the towels, a true friend will stick with you through thick and thin.

Even though a true friend will never leave you alone, they are also there giving tough love and closing the gap of the rejection that others expel upon you. Proverbs 27:9 – Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.

Watch for the graciousness, smile, compassion, forgiveness, and love. It’s pretty recognizable, and there will be a connection and compatibility that is unique to only you and that person. Your heart will tell the story of benevolence and the desire to see you win, even when other’s envy is apparent.
