God’s grace and Sliding windows! (Does life have a real time warp?)

Fixing the future begins with understanding the times and your God-ordained sliding windows. Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 explains the importance of seasons and how capitalizing on seasons leads to optimal success. Stepping into the correct timing sessions is critical. If we miss those sliding windows, it could be years before they come around again, if not decades, forcing us to inevitably miss out on the seasons of prosperity that God has prepared for those that love him.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

What does this all mean? Some people believe they are a product of a lousy family structure, victims of bad relationships or friendships that have gone bad, or even not being able to get that break in life that so many before them have been privileged to get. God has promised his people seasons of blessings, and within context, you can also see that there are other seasons as well, designed to keep us on our feet, make us better, and establish us as a messenger of Christ, which is a part of our purpose. To get optimum results from your time on earth, you have to consider your God-ordained purpose, Where the timing falls into God’s timetable, our willingness to grow and be prepared, and the obedience to God so that you have everything you need to be equipped.

Here’s a quick example – Someone I know, let’s call him Fred, believed that he was called, anointed, and ordained by God to start a ministry. That person talked about it for years telling everyone who would listen, including establishing the ministry’s official name, geographical location, as well as making the brand public knowledge. According to Fred, it was simply a matter of execution and obedience to God. Now, fast forward 5-6 years later, when Fred finally got around to obeying God and pursuing the opening of the ministry, it was too late. Not only was the exact name already taken by another church, but was strategically placed in the same city, with the same ministry mission statement and brand. This is just one of many examples of God’s purpose moving forward in seasons. So the original person called by God to fulfill the ministry was replaced by someone else who was willing to hear and obey God. This falls in the category of “A time to break down, and a time to build up.”

Remember, seasons are not just how the earth spins on its axis, which produces night and day moving the sun in an elliptical orbit requiring 365 days to complete, but there are life seasons that we must be cognizant of; otherwise, we miss the opportunity to serve, the anointing to get a particular process underway, or even miss that someone special that will compliment you and your strengths. In essence, embracing a close walk with your creator is the key to taking advantage of the seasons so that the sliding windows don’t close before you effortlessly slide in.
